Happy Mother’s Day here in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Apologies for this basic photo in light of the beautiful things around here, I just haven’t taken any photos of anything- but wanted to at least give an update for now.

My plans as they were being developed in relationship to, well, relationship have come to dissolve. Life moves forward and not in a begrudgingly soldiering sort of way, and of course! -you are free to read my words in any way you like.

I believe I have come to recognize the people I feel a connection with in Austin TX, and also recognize the need to see that some connections have hit their own defined terms. Both for myself and for others. Life moves forward!

I am currently cookin’ up a performative art show- but not how you think I should interpret “performative,” but how I interpret “performative.” Isn’t there enough theater masquerading as community and connection around here?! What if the new performance is actually about connecting in real time?

Not woo-woo, not defined according to anything but what is recognized as relevant to address. Whether that be in harmony or in contention, the beauty of it: what are we really seeking to establish as the future we share, while simultaneously acknowledging that we are unique individuals?

[Housekeeping: I haven’t updated my art series with the 2025-2026 “Transition Series,” but that has been officially finished last week. I have to process the last one I have made; in total it is a series of 10 works- two of which are sold. I am currently working on a collaborative series with four other artists (building into others), with the intention of building a series named “Uniformity.” I have removed the “Interview Series” from the website for now]
