"Dawn's Early Light," Personally Delivered

$50,000.00

Started in July 2020 and completed in the Spring of 2025, “Dawn’s Early Light” reflects my own growth as a man and as an artist within my own right and definition. This is a living piece, a talisman in its own right. I recognize that the price is grand; in my opinion, this signifies the initiation into relationship with a person who deeply connects with my message and my work. Who recognizes the symbolism and understands the ceremony; this is not an artwork as a talking point for some baby-boomer at a dinner party. It is a catalyst, a step towards the Vision, an anchor in both your life and my own. It is a part of who I am, and asks for an offering of similar kind from the other who comes to claim it.

As esoteric as this sounds, this is a unique sentiment that is tied with both “Dawn’s Early Light” as well as “Momentum Metanoia” due to my personal history surrounding their creation. Although all of my creative works are a part of me, these were linked to substantial transitions within my own life path. With that said, I would be honored to deliver this to you wherever you are, assuming you are within the United States. Please contact me via this website prior to purchase; thank you.

Specifics:

  • The top is adorned with a barred owl skull with the tail feathers of a Great Horned Owl layered with select feathers from the barred owl as well from a barn owl. I have collected them personally over the years.

  • The peacock feathers were collected from the Mayfield Cottage and Park of Austin, TX as well as gifted to me from my previous partner, Logan.

  • The spirals within the owl’s eye sockets were laser-carved at a public library in the Greater Chicago Area.

  • The original artwork was modified at some point in 2022, as evidenced within the eye of the sunflower. I drew a different style- I felt the original design was undeveloped and did not fit the rest of the work.

  • Over the years, I was given many different crystals from people; I have also found them on my hikes and backpacking journeys. I encased the entire artwork in high-quality + UV-resistant epoxy, set with feathers I have collected over the years as well as crystals, some shells, and some desert sage I collected within the Grand Canyon. I personally believe that photos do not do justice, but that is my own humble opinion. The final layer of epoxy was poured in the early Spring 2025.
