Media: pen and marker, diluted with rubbing alcohol, on paper (9” x 12”)
“Gateway” was completed March 23rd, 2020 with just pen; I revisited with the markers November 3-4th, 2022- I felt like it looked like a coloring book page done by a child. I then washed the whole paper with rubbing alcohol to diminish the color, ultimately leading to the effect seen in the photos and the scan.
This work is an ode to the Great Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter at the 0° of Aquarius (Tropical Astrology), which occurred on December 21st, 2020.
“The Shattered Series” consists of the works which were created from “Momentum Metanoia” (December 2019) through to the drawing of “Death of the Seed” (July 2020), which slowly progressed to become “Dawn’s Early Light” (March 2025).
