Solar Plexus (9" x 12")
Media: pen and watercolor on paper (9” x 12”)
“Solar Plexus” was created in September of 2020 while in Sedona, AZ- alongside Oak Creek. At some point it had been effected by water, altering its appearance. This had inspired an additional 8 works in a similar style, but the water damage was too great and I had to burn all of them- alongside many other works. All of these works were burned while on the shore of Lake Michigan following the completion of the “Lake Michigan Series;” I then put all of the ashes into the lake as a gesture of gratitude and the symbolic conclusion of the “creative sacrifice.”
“Corpus Callosum” is a series of works which were created from “Death of the Seed” up to “Natural Integration,” which started in 2022, and then was returned to following the completion of “Natural Integration.” For more of the background story of this artwork and the project, please visit the “Corpus Callosum” tab under “Art Series.”
